the film studies minor is a 15-credit-hour interdisciplinary program that helps students develop the skills to appreciate all aspects of the film experience and to better understand the cultures from which films emerge.

film studies courses

the 15 hours must be made up of some combination of the following:

sp 4670 - spanish cinema (3)
th 4080 - christianity in film (3)
ct 3210 - the films of alfred hitchcock (1)
ct 3220 - screening science fiction (1)
ct 3230 - the horror film (1)
ct 3240 - the reel west (1)
ct 3250 - the dark world of film noir (1)
ct 3260 - history and the movies (1)
ct 3270 - the war film (1)

note:

students must earn a grade of c or better in any of the above courses in order for that course to count toward the minor’s 15 credit hours.
