theatre arts minor

from lower division theatre courses students must complete 3 hours:

• ta 1100 - stage movement: basics (3)

• or

• ta 1200 - acting i (3)

• or

• ta 1300 - introduction to technical theatre (3)

students must complete 12 upper-division credits from the list below with a maximum of 3 credits from practicum courses.

• ta 3000 - script analysis (3)
• ta 3100 - stage movement: mask and body (3)
• ta 3201 - musical theatre (3)
• ta 3202 - shakespeare for actors (3)
• ta 3203 - voice for actors (3)
• ta 3250 - directing (3)
• ta 3301 - improvisation (3)
• ta 3302 - acting ii: advertising and marketing (3)
• ta 3303 - acting iii: film and television (3)

• practicum courses (maximum of 3 practicum credits may be taken in place of one upper level theatre course):

• ta 3500 - acting practicum (1)
• ta 3520 - building crew practicum (1)
• ta 3540 - running crew practicum (1)
• ta 3560 - theatre management practicum (1)

note:

a grade of c or better is required in each upper-division course of the minor. (a grade of c- will not satisfy the requirement.)
