history minor

the minor program in history consists of 15 credit hours of history, six of which can also count for core curriculum credit.

the minor consists of three lower-division credit hours plus 12 hours of upper-division electives. the lower-divison hours for the minor can be satisfied with one western or world civilization course.  

a 3000-level history course will count as three upper division hours toward the minor.

upper-division electives must be completed with grades of c or better. (a grade of c- will not satisfy the requirement.) the student should consult closely with the history department chair in arranging the minor program of study. see history .
